Just Breathing Is Enough

Thở thôi, cũng đủ giỏi rồi

There are mornings I wake up not wanting to do anything at all. Not wanting to create, not wanting to lead, not wanting to become a "better version" of myself. I just want to be an ordinary person. To wake up a little late. To eat a cold breakfast without rushing. To wear a shirt that doesn't need ironing. To scroll my phone aimlessly until noon. Then lie down and listen to the rain — or not, it doesn't matter if it isn't raining. I used to think that slowing down meant losing. That if I didn't "try hard," I'd be left behind — in a world where everyone else seems to be rushing to become something greater than who they were yesterday. But then I realized… some days, just surviving through them is courage enough. No one was born to be strong all the time. No one was born to always be "better than yesterday." Sometimes, allowing myself to be tired, to be sad, to be lazy — is itself a gentle way of healing. I'm learning to love myself the way you'd love a child: not screaming at them for not getting good grades today. Not demanding they be "useful," even when they're sad and don't know why. Just — loving them. That's all. If you're having a day like this too — an empty day, a day you don't want to be capable of anything — then welcome to my world. A world where ordinary people are still trying, very gently. Where you don't need to do anything at all, except... breathe. Yes. Breathe in. Breathe out. That's already good enough.
