Summers in Saigon

Mùa hè ở Sài Gòn

Today is a scorching summer day in Saigon. The blazing glare of the sun really wears me out and makes me want to rest for a while. Still, Saigon summers have their own charm. Electric bikes gliding down the small streets, a cool breeze running through my hair, and the easy comfort of a thin t-shirt. Summer also brings me back to childhood memories, when my friends and I used to head out in the afternoon, looking for ice cream shops to enjoy. I still remember the taste of fresh fruit ice cream, blending together with the summer heat. Still, summer in Saigon means something different to everyone. For me, it's a time to rest and savor small, peaceful moments in the middle of the city's busy life. The afternoon downpours make me feel more at ease too. The pattern of umbrellas popping open in golden hues against the dark sky, together with the soft sound of falling rain, all come together to create a truly special atmosphere. Summer in Saigon isn't just heat and discomfort - it's also a time to slow down and remember the innocent memories of youth.
